It pays to look up when you’re walking in downtown Lexington!

For instance, take a look at the Lexington Laundry Company building on Main Street.

“The 1929 structure is considered by the US Department of the Interior to be Lexington’s finest example of art deco architecture with the façade ‘composed of wheat-toned glazed tile highlighted by stylized floral patterns.'”

Peter Brackney’s Kaintuckeean blog.

Can you imagine a laundry company going to that much trouble (and expense) in this day and age?
